Session 1 July 6-10        Ages 7+        9am - 12 noon             $50/day
Session 2 July 20-24      Ages 5+        9am - 12 noon             $50/day

Session 1 of The Studio's 2026 Summer Art Experiences is geared towards motivated students who want to increase their technical skills and experiment with new media.  This 3 hour, morning workshop experience will be structured as a two-part class with ample time for exploration, experimenting, and connecting with classmates, using premium materials. The first part of the class begins with a creative warm-up and a formal drawing or painting lesson with step-by-step instruction. Students have many open-ended choices to make throughout their creative planning and exploration in addition to learning new skills in a variety of media. In between parts 1 and 2, students will have a movement, game and snack break, which our artists absolutely love!

After a play break, part two is focused on three-dimensional art with choices for finishing the art piece or exploring process art. Students may take a break at any time, and go at their own pace. Each day will have 2 different projects introduced, and always include choice time to work on projects from previous days or investigate areas of personal interest.
Students who enjoy this session would be welcome to enroll in Session 2 as well, as the projects will be different.

For Session 2, The Studio's 2026 Summer Art Experience is geared towards younger or less-experienced artists who want to increase their skills and experiment with new media.  This 3 hour, morning workshop experience will be structured with three outdoor play breaks that divide the morning into engaging studio time with free play and snack sessions as focus refreshers. The class also features a creative warm-up and a formal drawing or painting lesson with step-by-step instruction. At times we hear stories, and listen to music, and engage in process art. Students have many open-ended choices to make throughout their creative planning and exploration in addition to learning new skills in a variety of media. More advanced or older artists are welcome to sign up for this week, as they can work independently and explore the exciting projects at their own level.
