Debra Bianculli is an artist-teacher, creating in an array of materials centered around growth, intuition, healing and nature.
Debra creates work that is rooted in her lifelong drive to care for people, creatures and plants, including cooking food that is beautiful and nutritional. She sees this impulse as an integral part of her process to creating art.
Since 2005, Debra has been inspiring creative expression in the lives of hundreds of students. She uses her skills in painting and sculpture media to bring a multitude of creative processes to young artists. Debra graduated with a BFA in illustration in 2004 from Syracuse University, and in 2011 with an MFA in studio art from California State University Los Angeles, where she studied ceramics and painting. In 2005, she began her teaching career at the Worcester Art Museum, and has continued teaching in private and public school settings. Since then, Debra has taught Undergraduate Drawing at CSULA, conducted guest lectures at CSULA and Chapman University, and continues to teach visual art at Tatnuck Magnet Elementary School in Worcester, MA.
Debra has shown work in Los Angeles, New York, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Georgia, and has paintings in the temporary collection at California State University Los Angeles. She continues to create, inspire, explore, care-for and nurture.
